how about a grille for 1100, headlight bezels for 250 each.
if you want to pay it fine, but the company charging this,
is buying this stuff for what it is "really worth" by outbidding
the rest of us on ebay.
i have over 20,000 into mine, so don't think i don't appreciate
a nice car, a rusty 318 car isn't worth that, no matter how
many "original" miles are on it.
by the way, i paid 3000 for my rust free body that i drove away.
(that is what it was worth)

Car/parts pricing is relative. There will always be people who think a
mint,1 owner,rust-free survivor '65 is only worth $1000.These people are
either very foolish or have no idea of where the real market is.They
will never find a car at that price because somebody else will always
offer market price.

I encountered that mentality when I sold a car last year. After I sent
pics out I was told it was only a $500 car by some old timers.

Tom, give us some examples of parts prices that are out of line.
