Stay away from any sealant.
Are you sure you have used the correct size o-ring?
The cable housing isn't leaking, and running down towards the transmission?

Hello Group, I am cursed with a transmission leak in my '62 dodge dart big block. The leak is coming from the transmission shift cable at the point it enters the transmission. I have replaced the o ring seal but it leaking more now than before. I would appreciate any suggestions. I thought about applying some type of sealant around the point of entry in the trans. thanks Ray [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
