I second Newcastle Battery. They not only have correct repro lead-acid batteries but they also have valve-regulated batteries that are absolutely gas and acid discharge-free, no corrosion. I happened to buy a valve-regulated battery from them for my brand-x and it arrived busted which was no big deal because the cells are sealed internally. I called Newcastle and the guy apologized all over the place and sent a new battery out same day. I had the new one before the old one got picked up. That's pretty good service I thought.

There was a vendor at ACN last year, wish I could remember their name.
I see them from time to time on eBay. Regular and maintenance free.

A 12 volt 54 plate 48 ampere-hour battery with green caps spun the cah's
