I've recently seen 2 aluminum water pump housings that had the thermostat  
housing (gooseneck) holes drilled way off center.  Both were imported no  name 
brands.  Mancini has been replacing these with Mopar housings at no  additional 
cost. They're probably not all like this, but check them before you  buy.  Joe
