I know this is a little off on years but my friends 340 challanger has a weird problem. There is oil coming out of the tail pipes. he did a cam swap and intake swap from the full edelbrock cam and carb and intake to the crane setup + stock 340 intake for looks. it was running fine before the swap and after the swap it runs even better and sounds great. there is no smoke coming out of the tail pipes only oil. the oil is coming from the engine as the crankcase was almost empty. how does oil get into the exhaust port without burning and making a smoky mess? Could this be a cracked head or block? one other thing, it is happening out of both sides equally, and there is no crossover tube on the exhaust. he pulled the intake and there is no oil in the heat crossover? how is it getting there?
