The car was roped off, and I didn't see any original paperwork with the
car. Possibly some others on the site found some.
I do have a question about the way the the black paint was sprayed
behind the grille. It extended from behind the headlights clear over to
the radiator. When you looked through the front grille all you would
see is black... no red body color. The car was advertised as a 2,200
mile car, but this black paint looked too shiny to be 40 years old
(unless the owner used a cleaner wax to prep the car).
Does anyone know whether the black-out method used on this car was
factory correct? If that's the correct way, then I've seen a lot of
incorrect restorations...Brian
