i think my 460 cost me around 2500 to build, 1000 in machine shop work.  (got 
heads cut for big valves too) thats pistons valves manifold and etc.
 i got a complete 400 w/ a tranny for 100 bucks last fall and i have  the 
crank from my 70 newyorker stashed away, the next motor i build will be a  460 
too :0)
