Alxles dont fit?There is no reason why yor axles wont fit. I have many many time

Even the posi or Limited slip carriers interchange. perhaps the little top hat spacers in the limited slip havefallen out . I have seen that before as the roll pin often breaks, the spacersfall out and axle endplay will not adjust properly. 
The seals are different for the old tapered axle  rear end housings up to 64. . maybe the n bearings are too. I guess i always just matched the bearing number when buying new so it is possible it is different .
