I just put together my 64 Plymouth 383 motor and seem to have a problem with it. I put in a Lunati Voodoo cam 494 lift, ported&polished new heads, Holley St. Avenger 770, hooker headers, MSD, edelbrock torker, heads are good up to 550 lift, got it all running and only seem to have about half the power it had before. I put CAT 1.6 rockers in it. I checked everything and anything to figure out why it runs like crap, and was looking at my cam literature and it calls for 1.5 rockers. I dont have much vacuumn as the secondaries on the carb have a tough time working and the power brakes do not work to well either. If i replace the 1.6 to the 1.5, will everything be ok? I was told this is the problem as my valves are staying open to long with 1.6 rockers. I even swithched the holley to a demon mechanical secondaries and its still the same. Any gear heads out there?????
