This works and works well. For striped mopar drainplug buy a chey 350 drain plug and thread it in. unlike the Mopar and the ford pans the chevies have very deep roots in the thread and will work well in a hole even when the mopar plug wont bite. I keep a supply right in my tool box for this purpose.
I cant take credit for the idea. A friend of mine ran a Oil Change outlet and he showed me. He said they changed any one that even felt susicious. It is a far superior repair to the self tapping deallies and is permenant. It will save all but the very worse deal and will tighten up properly.
