Throw a helicoil in the pan rail.
You can drill the longer pump extension, or buy a new one that's made for the 62 to 65 transmissions from A&A transmission.
They make a slick extension.

Hi, I have had a leak in my 64 Dodge 440 pushbutton since I bought it. I
finally pulled the pan and replaced the filter with the correct one (two
holes) and replaced the gasket. I found I have a stripped thread. It is
not a through bolt so is my only option a helicoil??? Also, is there anyway
to run a deeper pan? I bought a deep pan, but there is only an extension
for the front pump hole, not the rear??? Thanks much.
