I posted earlier about my friend finding a 65
Satellite with a 426 wedge and four speed. I'm still
curious about the block that was in this car. It was
coded A 426 which is a 65 -426 but it had a stock
windage tray oil pan, half inch pickup tube, and
webbing and bosses for main cap cross bolts like a
Hemi. I've been told this may have been a Nascar
block. The block had no casting numbers or dates on
the sides of the block like other B or RB engines I've
seen. I'm just wondering if indeed this is a Nascar
block or possibly a marine block.
