I think with some extra fluids (oil, tranny fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, that sort of thing) you'd be fine. Especially if you strapped drums of them to the roof of the car and ran lines down to the motor lol. Oh, a big thing of water in the trunk can be a life savor if you boil over and loose most of your coolant. Take say, a 5 gallon thing of it in like a brand new kerosene container, or something of the sort. Good luck and have fun!!!!

I'm thinking about driving my 64 Fury from Oklahoma to
the Nationals next month. This car is no trailer queen
but a nice driver. It does have the original 361. I
haven't installed my rebuilt 413 yet, since the 361
just doesn't seem to quit. I've drove to Dallas and
back with no problems but Columbus is another story.
It does seems to leak a little tranny fluid and oil
while sitting in the garage but didn't use any to
Dallas and back. What would you guys take for the long
trip besides a spare water pump, hoses, fuel pump, and
of course some tools ? I think it'd be a great trip
and anybody can drive up there in a newer vehicle. I
could stick it on a trailer but that wouldn't be any
fun.
