The biggest difference I'm aware of is that the secondary air valve is
adjustable via spring tension on an avs/thunder series. Like on a thermo
quad or changing the secondary spring on a holley you can change the
secondary opening rate to suit your engine. On an afb/performer series the
secondary air valve is counter weighted and not on spring tension. Some
other members may be aware of other differences as well. Later!

OK, Edlebrock comes out with this avs carb.  Can someone with carb  savvy
explain the benefits of the avs vs. the afb vs. the performer?   Totally
confused.  Joe
