You're right. I bought a new 600 Edlebrock from Jegs about 5 years ago 
and paid $250 for it. Next time I went to get one I bought a reman 600 
for $180. The guy told me they were returned by customers because they 
didn't run perfect out of the box, sent back to Edlebrock, who rebuilt 
them and sent them back to Jegs. Might as well save $70 and get the same 
carb built by the same company.
