Ebay seems flooded lately with a ton of off brand gear drives. While I 
would normally be leary of anything off brand, these are CNC cut units. 
Assuming they use a good material to start with, they seem somewhat 
relaiable. 

All for the cost of a good roller timing chain.

What are the pros and cons? Anyone buy one of these $100 gear drives? I 
like the idea of very accurate timing.
