SFI rating is not a necessity on a street car, unless you plan to do some serious driving on it. Any brand should be equally suitable, so see what the best deal you can find is. Also, be sure to get a flywheel for a steel crank engine (internally balanced) if you've got a steel crank 383, which is most likely what you've got. Note also that small block and big block steel cranks use the same bolt pattern.

I am starting to look at flywheels. This will be for street use behind
a mildly built 383 in a 63 Sport Fury.

It appears that I will need a Steel - six bolt - 130 tooth flywheel.

I have noted that some have SFI Certification and others do not. Is
this important if I am running everything else stock including the bell
housing?

Is there any reason to consider a brand other than Mopar for the new
flywheel?

Thanks
Dennis C.
