I just put an A518,
4 sp. auto, OD, and lockup out of a 97 Jeep Grand cherokee behind a
1955 331 Hemi.

Red,
How did you make this work? I was told the later A518's, because they
are controlled electronically, cannot be adapted to older cars.
Obviously, this must be false. You got the lockup converter to work, as
well. I am very interested, as I would like to put one behind the 440
in my '64 Fury. I know they make bellhousing adapters, and I'll need
larger tranny lines, custom mount and driveshaft, etc. It's the
electronics that have me puzzled.
Thanks,

Sean
