I have had hi-volume fuel pumps in conjunction with 3 different Edelbrock 
carbs (600, 750, 800), all at 7.5 pounds pressure, all worked OK.

Edelbrock does give writen instructions warning, (I think) above 5.5 pounds, 
but it's working at 7.5 right now.....
