Neal, Trust me...put the sound insulation in if it's a street cruiser. If not then talk to me after a 1200 mile road trip without it.... He He

I have stripped all the old stuff from the underside of car and inside
of doors, fenders, quarters etc.
It seems a shame to put all that weight back on the car , but how
much more noise can I expect if I leave it off . This car is being
built more as a street car.
Is there another newer typ of soundproofing/undercoat thats lighter
than the factory " LAVA"?
