It doesn't cost much to take them to a machine shop and have the domes
milled off. I have done it a couple of times and and that way you can set
your compression where I want it.

I'm sure this topic has been discussed here before, but I will be
building a 426 wedge this winter and the only pistons I have for it are,
I think, Max Wedge. They have a very large dome and I think they're
around 13:1 compression. I'd like to sell or trade them for a set of
flat tops, but what I'd really like to know is if it's possible to lower
the compression but using a thicker head gasket to try and get it down a
couple points. This will be a crusin' car with a 4-spd and I'd like to
be able to run it on pump gas....anybody got any ideas?
