Subject: 426 from 400 Slant 6 Dundas

I have a couple of great motor photos g Wager took of the 400 come 426 stroker. He tried a modified Team G against the modified M 1 . The M 1 came out on top (which surpised me. Car is now running 6.31 in the eighth. whatever that is in the 1/4 and the 6.31 was on a brakes on run as both he and the competitor broke out. We think this combo is a good one as it appears to be making a lot of ponys for a reasonable buck. I am thinking of doing one in street rim for my car for a couple of years. Ideal replacement for the 383s . Still revs like a bee but has the grunt of a much bigger motor. He is currently shifting at 6800 but has been as high as 7400 although the car likes the short shift better. There was a slant six headerset on ebay last week. I just modified a set of brand new ones for my 6 cyl rail. I have a ffy 4 bbl intake here but am holding on to it till I am sure the 6 tilotsons will work. I will look around as I know a couple of guys with slant 6 stuff.
Anybody on the list live near Dundas Ontario?
