My '64 Newport 9 pass HDSW has a 361 and... a 3 speed floor shift, no A/C,
almost no nothing.

Definitely correct me  if I am wrong (quite often I am)  but I thought that 
the early 60s NewPorts came out with 361 in them, and the  other Chrysler 
models only had 2 barrel engines when equipped with the 383, and  were only
rated 
at 290 HP
