RE: That Blue-Dark Gray Chassis Component Paint




Dave: it was always a dark bluish gray, semi-gloss to gloss.
I'm convinced its original as this was a dry CA car and the color is on the firewall plate which supports the master cyl, the K frame, the struts, and the lower control arm main assembly. Its not black and is (still) fairly shiny in some areas, and is not at all like flat gray primer.

So what color was the K frame,semi-gloss black or grey primer? Was it
black over grey primer,or does it appear it was always grey?
