Re: 65 Coronet/poly motor

Hi Bill - well the stripping is starting to move forward. I've got a gentleman coming from PA who wants the top bow mechanism (actually wanted only the header bow and the rear window bow. I decided I'd rather sell the top bows as a complete unit rather than piecing it out. He also wants the passenger door complete with the glass and vent window. So looks like only the driver's vent window assemble will be available. I've got some other wheels to put on this thing. Sunvisors (& brackets) look to be availabel as well. Once this stuff is removed, wife said I need to finish doing whatever really quick as it'll be an eyesore for sure. My ex-son-in-law is supposed to come over with a chainsaw-type cut-off wheel to help cut the body up into manageable pieces that are good (trunk floor, most of the cowl, inner front fenders.

Don,

I guess the stripping is moving forward? Are the wheels and wing
windows still available? Looks like I might need visors too
(unfortunately). Don't forget, I'll come and help you break this thing
down if it'll help you out just about any weekend, Sat or Sun.

Fellow 62-65 enthusiasts and Polyheads

Am getting ready to pull the poly out of my 65 Coronet. If anyone is interested in the motor, heads, etc, please let me know. Free, no charge, nada - just pay the shipping. Would prefer a local pickup on the motor (about 80 miles west of Washington DC). If absolutely positively necessary, I will strap the motor to a pallet and ship it by Forward Air to their closest terminal to you. Again pay the shipping (must bne pre-paid). Motor is complete except for carb and timing chain cover (already spoken for). Motor runs but uses oil. Last time run back in Oct or Nov.

On another note, if anyone is interested in parts off the Coronet let me know. It's a 65 Coronet 440 convertible. Wife wants eyesore gone!
