wet sanding or maybe more

Hey folks-

Can anyone share me a link or resource where I can bone-up on wet sanding?
I want to learn how.  I gotta do my 65 Belvellite.
I need to smooth down the 4 year old paint, shine her up some and get a nice
wet look.
Should I look at clay?
