Wright or wrong here is my position on trailered cars.
My car has a 426 Max Wedge. I was most fortunate to find it in fact it is only one of three I have ever had an oppourtunity to buy. I dont expect to ever have a chance at another one.I live for example 8 hours from Carlisle. I would not even consider sitting out on the highway with my beloved MAx Wedge for 8 hours each way plus drivng in and around carlisle. I would trailer it there and drive it only when traffic was normal and flowing well. not bmper to bumper like is is going in. You can call me a wussy (but probably not to my face at 306 .lbs) if you want. Still i drive my car. sometimes hard even and have put on 32000 miles since restoration. I limit my trips now to about 100 miles and  prefer 50 miles or less . I dont want to wear the thing out before i get too old to drive. It is no trailer queen and i fact gets a fair bit of driving but to unecessarily sit on the highway rolling up miles just so i can sayi drove it there is not something i would do. I will drive it anywhere within reason but for me to drive it from here to the woodward cruise is to me ridiclous. I might trailer it to Michigan say Belleville and drive from there but that is about it. I suspect others feel the same way. As the old sayng goes , "talk is cheap It takes money to buy wiskey "
 If you live not far away you can talk all you want but from a long haul like a day or so it is a far different deal A  max wedge and a hemi were not really intended for that purpose but are really race engines hiding in sort of street clothing.Just read the Max wedge manual for example. Obviously not intended for going to grandmas for Christmas. It is really intended for short quick trips 12 seconds or less.
