RE: hard to find glass



There's a guy over here in England that supplies and fits glass for most 
American cars.
I rang him about 3 years ago just after we bought our 63 as I was 
offered a used windshield and wanted to know how hard it would be to get 
hold of one if I didnt buy the used one on offer.
He said his suppliers in the US produce the glass about twice a year, so 
if I wanted him to get one for us it would be a 6 months wait, at worst.

But the point is, he could get '63 glass and it was being remanufactured 
on a regular basis, along with may other years & models.

That's what i was told anyway.

Just my two pence :)

PS i bought the used windshield as a spare. £50, around $100 at today's 
rate. I think a new one would cost me over £300 now.
