RE: Door Glass

Thought I'd jump in with a correction here. According to an interchange
manual I have the 62-63 B body 2 dr hardtop and the 62-65 convert all
use the same door glass. The 64-65 2 dr hardtop use a different glass
than the convert.

And yes I've had an experience with this. One day when rolling up the
pasenger door window on my 63 Fury convert I saw that it was cracked
from corner to corner. I'm not sure if it was from slamming the door
(the doors close hard because of the new weather stripping) or if was
the heat. It was almost 100 out that day. That's when I noticed that the
passenger door window was laminated glass and the rest of the side glass
was tempered. (you can tell by looking at the edge of the glass) I
figure that somebody must have replaced the passenger door glass at one
time. Since the windows and top are down most of the time I lived with
it for a while but finally last summer I got around to replacing it with
a glass from a 62 Dodge Polara 2 dr hardtop. BTW the left and right door
glass are the same. You just have to change the chrome strip and bottom
track if it's from the wrong side.
