I just installed a box from Steer and Gear and works great. Very smooth and
no more 10 to 2 just to drive straight.

Yes Richard you can adjust some of the play out of the box but if you go
too far it will start to bind. Where did you get a quote of $500 to
rebuild your box? A rebuilt box from NAPA is about $140 exchange. And a
rebuilt box with a firmer feel from Steer & Gear or Firm Feel is about
$275 exchange.

hi, i recently rebuilt my front end but wasn't able to afford to get the
steering box rebuilt[ starts at $500 upwards] someone mentioned that by
adjusting the screw on top of the box you can remove some of the slop. if
so is it as simple as loosening nut tightening screw in & so on? hoping
this may work until i can get money to rebuild box. thanks, richard [oz]
