RE: Police Special Equpment

Hi -

When I was stationed in New Mexico there was an ex-highway patrol(or whatever they called it in NM) on a car lot. I drove it and considered buying it. It was way cool. It was a white 2 door Dodge 330 with a 383 four bbl with solid lifters and grey bucket seats. I'm sure it had suspension, cooling, and electrical upgrades too but the things I remember most are the 2 doors(I had never seen a cop car with two doors at that time.), bucket seats, and solid lifters.

I was thinking about starting a clone project to reproduce one, since I know the originals are probably all wrecked or have 1,000,000 miles. I am wondering what model (330-440) they used for police cars and what equipment they had added over stock, like engines, wheels, tranny, etc. Anyone know where the specs for these might be? Thanks.
