I ended up having enough throttle cable today when I put the bracket
back down in it's stock location. I am however going to have to modify
the goalpost. We figured out that I'll cut a piece off the 2nd one I
have and weld it onto the original essentially making a double goal
post. Since the carb is wider and it pushes the kickdown outward, this
will keep it from hanging and flopping around.

I'm using an adapter from Trans Dapt. It works well but you'll have to
finish it. The holes where it mounts to the manifold are not drilled.
Drill the holes and get a counter sink. Drill out the top of the
adapter until you can put 45 degree shoulder allen head screws are
flush.

If anyone wants pics, I can take some. It was surprisingly easy once I
figured it out.
