Re: 452 Heads

Look on any 400, I use to open the hoods on all of the Cordobas in the junkyards, they were almost certain to have them. Back in those days we actively searched for them, I still see a bunch at swap meets like the Mopar Nats and stuff. The good news is they are relatively inexpensive to buy.

Hi Steve,

If you are still in the planning stages of your engine can
I suggest trying to locate a set of 452 casting cylinder
heads, they already have hardened seats so you won't have to
worry so much about losing the exhaust seat from the
available fuel, it's not a pretty sight. I have ported many,
many sets of 906 and 452 heads and given the choice the 452
wins hands down. This is not a slam on 906 heads, they work
well, it's just that 452 are more suited for the fuel out
there today.

Good Luck,
Joey

any detonation? Are yor new pistons at 0 deck height and are
they flat tops? Are those 906 heads at the stock combustion
chamber cc's or been milled? My build will be similar
to yours with the 906 heads, but will be a 413. Thanks
