Re: 331 hemi

331 hemis were put in Saratogas (1951-52), New Yorkers and Imperials (1951-55). None offered a 3-speed manual, with Fluid Drive or Fluid Torque Drive and the 4-speed Fluidmatic semi-automatic (1951-53) and then Powerflite automatic as standard equipment.

The 1956 Chrysler Windsor offered a 331 poly (same engine, different heads & other internal parts) with a 3-speed manual transmission as standard equipment and Powerflite optional. No overdrive, though.

Gonna be tough finding a early Hemi with a manual tranny. Most likely will have to use a custom bellhousing adapter...........................MO...........sw iowa ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nick Adamski" <labrothia@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
