RE: some thoughts on my past snobberies

Yes, sounds familiar.  My Mopar that got away was a '68 Coronet R/T with the 426 Hemi.  My college roomate bought it new and was continually frustrated by losing at drag races to a '66 Corvette and a '67 Nova, each with the L79 350 horse 327.  Since he was in their class at most every race he never made it to the finals and he wanted to get rid of the R/T and get a more powerful car (??) so he could win.  The dealer wanted to hammer him on the price, so he offered to sell it to me for $1800.  It only had about 3000 miles on it and was in great shape.  But, I was in ROTC, graduating, and on my way to 'Nam and lost that great deal.  Darn.
