Another sad story

Rich Kinsley '64 Dodge Polara 4dr 318poly w/goodies

I know you guys are getting tired of my failures but I did it again. I
went to the track and tried to make a couple runs but it died right on
the starting line both times. The first time I did get it running again
and just finished the run without a time but the speed was posted. It
wasn't bad. Then the next time they had to push me off the line so I
quit bothering them. It had been running perfect too.

It's about 30 miles over to the track which is about the farthest I had
driven it. It backfired out the front carb and everytime I tried to take
off it died. The carb was very wet when we took off the air cleaners.
Back to the drawing board.

My next move is to check the valve adjustment again. It acts as if it
were to tight and maybe the valves or some aren't closing fully. I'll
ask Gary P about the valve adjust to verify.

Once I drove it for about 15 miles on the way home it started running
very good again. Go figure. I think it hates Iowa :-)

I'll let you know what I do and what I find.
