If ity overheats going down thr road at speed it needs more rad BUt it t 
overn heats at ide in traffic at lights etc it needs more water pump speed 
and cangining the pulley will do that and increase fan speed as well. 
Basicallymkes the engine think it is not idling.

My problem is different.  Drive that thing 60-90 miles an hour everyday. 
Not a show car that's for sure but better mechanically than a lot of show 
cars for real everyday driving.  Yesterday my guess is that a clog of some 
sort occurred cutting off water.  Or a weld was bad because it had been 
running perfect for several months.  Could the 16lb cap have created too 
much pressure at overflow like schylur has been talking about?  I'm not sure 
but when that baby got to 280 degrees that quick I turned white and lost my 
lunch because I didn't want to lose the motor I had recently had 
rememnufactured using all original parts less bearings, pistons and rings.
Herb-do you think it could have been a weld?  Or Don? I'm pulling the rad 
today and I will pressure test it and maybe the shop will fix it for free if 
it was infact the rad.  Got to do it soon since I now have no beater 
car;)... What our love gets us into.....

That show a got stranded at looked awesome-had to leave though-could leave 
my fury sitting on the street for spmepne top hit.

I have given up on my stock radiator.  I had it recored but the new core
only has 10 fins/inch and is not able to do the job in my 63 SF with a
383.  It is doing ok now but I live in Yuma Az. and the weather is just
starting to get warm.

I did a search on the Internet and came up with:

I talked to them and although none are listed on their site they do make
one for my car.

I don't have the time or skills to adapt a rediator, I want a direct
replacement unit.  I've given up on trying to keep the stock look.  I
would be interested in knowing other choices that some of you may have
had good experience with.
