RE: dash mounted rearview mirror



No luck with a socket and universal joint? I realize it's a biggie.
If you can get fairly vertical to it you could try a supply/stop wrench,
know any plumbers?  They use them on the nuts that hold down faucets to sink
decks or countertops.  Those are 1" or bigger.
I have some needle nose vice-grips but none that open that far, maybe there
are some that do.
No luck tapping the flat with a screwdriver and hammer either?

I'll go to the hardware store and see what I can figure out..

I don't really wanna bang too much on it, for fear of shattering a 47
year old mirror... bad luck, don't ya know ;)
