Rich really did quite well. He's got a good future as bracket racer.
His times were pretty consistent while experimenting with different
launching strategies. And I did see him win a few rounds. He won his
first round and then either through luck or cunning got matched up
against the same car later on for another win.

A very entertaining day. They had several gassers there, an Austin, a
couple of Willy's, and some others. A number of Altered's, a funny car,

and a few nostalgia front engine dragsters, including a dual engine
early hemi powered one. Lots of noise, lots of smoke, great temps in
the 70's, who could ask for anything more?
The funny car was cool for us Mopar guys. It was a modern chassis and
engine with a brand new Duster body all painted up to look old and
trashed including painted on rust and a bumper sticker that said "please

honk if parts fall off".
