Off topic brake question

My neighbor just stopped over and asked if the brakes for a 57 Dodge 
Coronet 4 door were the same as 62 or newer Mopars?   My catalogs don't 
go back farther that 62, and neither do the ones in the parts stores 
around here.  Thanks in advance for your help with this off topic 
question....Brian
