Gary,

To the best of my knowledge the 4th digit needs to be a (1) indicating 
the car was built at the Lynch Road, MI. Assembly Plant. In this case 
the 4th digit is a (2) indicating the Hamtramck, MI. Assembly Plant.

As far as "Race Cars" go,  an engine could have been purchased over the 
counter at a dealership and put in the car when new and somehow the word 
original just gets attached to the car.
