dash refurbishing

I am ready to dis-assemble the dash ( which is out) of my 64 Dodge 440 body. Those are painted with the body color on the face and a sort of flat paint that seems to have a little texture to it, on the top where a pad might be on a Polara. Mine is the red front with maroon top. Can someone tell me how to achieve that flat textured maroon top finish? That color is also used on the window garnish moldings. Thanks for any help..................MO
