Brians advice is what I would do for a driver condition, Sandblast them ( 
wich a powdercoater needs anyway) and use A hi temp engine primer and hi 
temp engine paint of your  color choice.  I recommend ' Dupli-color " with 
ceramic , for a tough durable finish..............................MO
