I recently purchased a MOOG pitman arm from a local auto parts store. I 
found a
guy there that doesn't mind breaking out the catalogs for the older stuff 
and I got
a glimpse into the thing while I helped him research the part. If my memory 
serves
correct, boots for just about any end of of a suspension component were 
listed with
an individual part number per it's intended connection point. If one was to 
go to a
manufacturer's website and come up with a good part number from their 
listings, it
can save a bunch of headaches with the "younger computer guys". They can't 
find
it, (or won't look for it), but most times they are all over cross-reference 
if they have
a number and a manufacturer to start with. The little stuff is available if 
you search
effectively. Recently noticed a SUMMIT listing on Ebay for a pack of six 
torsion
bar clips with a part number for the pack. I didn't even know this 
configuration was
available, and last I heard the only way to get said clip was to but the 
entire Mopar
torsion bar boot and clip package which is around $80. and stupidly priced 
at that.
As an additional tidbit, I also checked with the local Auto Zone: they also 
found the
pitman arm, (both had to order it as it wasn't a stocked piece), the Zone 
guy's part
was an Auto Zone brand which he said was "made for them by Perfect Circle 
and
was miles ahead of any MOOG junk I might find anywhere else". The Auto Zone
part was $17. cheaper and supposedly would have arrived three days sooner 
but
something about this just didn't ring true so I trusted my instincts and 
went with the
independant guy that was seemingly more interested in helping me find the 
correct
part I needed. Personally, I haven't heard and bad info on MOOG components,
has anyone here heard something to the contrary?
