RE: engine compartment

HI,

One thing that I think needs to be clarified is that the steering column
is NOT painted body colour.

The steering column is painted the interior colour and is installed
after the engine compartment is painted.

That is why you may see a red column prodruding from a white firewall
(or other colour combinations).

Doug Baker and I did an informal study at Moparfest a couple of years
ago about the front of the rad support and whether it is flat black or
body colour behind the grill. The survey showed that there are
inconsistancies but generally, the light coloured cars were flat black
(in a poor paint job format) and the dark cars were body colour.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
