Re: '64 Chrysler Questions

The name is "scarebird" search under that name. I am using their disc brake conversion -supplying my own rotor and caliper as their recomendations, and so far am very pleased with it. 64 Dodge B body..................................MO

Hello Rich,

Thanx for the reply to my e-mail. Your suggestion of a 4.5" backspacing jibes with another e-mail that I received.

Someone else happened to mention TTI, but apparently headers from this company cost an arm and a leg and your left testicle. I will look into Schumacher, especially since you are the second person who has mentioned this company.

I checked the Performance Suspension website catalogue, but I got a, "There are no products to list in this category" when I checked apps for my Chrysler. I tried to find a site for your "Scat Bird thing", but was unable to find anything to do with brakes or cars, etc. (Lots about animal dung, though). Do you have their web address or any additional information for them?

Thanx for the help,

Your car sounds nice. I like the '64 Chryslers. What headers did you
try? I'm sure there are Schumacher headers that would fit and TTI's. I
thiknk the Schumachers may be better for a driver than TTI's. Apparently
they don't encapsulate the starter like the TTI's requiring a
mini-starter. My rear wheels are 15X8 with 4.5" backspace and
P255/60SR15 BFG TA's. I'm using 15X7's on front with 4.5" spacing and
P215/70SR15 BFG TA's. My wheels are cheapy Pacer Rallye's but they look
decent and work fine. I have little dog dish caps on them. Up front I
did the disc brake kit and poly/graphite bushings, etc from the
Performance Suspension outfit in Phoenix, AZ. I think the Scat Bird
thing would work well for you and be cheaper to do.

Good luck and enjoy your car.
