Just last week I fitted new 15" Cragar's to my '62 Phoenix (RHD Dart). I
used 7" on the front and 8" wide on the back. The front has no offset
whereas the rears have 1/2" at the most. As a result I am running 255x75 on
the rear will loads of clearance. So I know I can wider if I want to - but I
wanted that old school drag racer look. Hope another perspective helps.

Can someone here tell me the largest safe size rim  (at 15"diameter) one can
put on the rear of a 67 Belvedere B Body?
I would have thought an 8" would be fine without modifications to the stock
set up.

If so, any experiences on specific backspacing to make them work?
