I know what you are referring to Gary. But I have not heard raved reviews from people who have done it. I do believe you need later models than cable.

Maybe the TF version with a lockup converter? 1978 introduced I think.

Gear Vendors sells a conversion to add overdrive to 727 or 904
automatics, though I don't know if it retros to a cable TorqueFlite.
