Subframe connectors

I installed connectors last summer on my 1965 Belvedere 2 Dr Hdtp. that I fabricated from 2" square tube. I just made a pattern of the curved front of the rear frame stubs and cut it out. Then measured and cut to length. Upon fitting I found an area approximately 6" long that had to be cut out of the rear foot wells for clearance and when installed I had less than 1/4" above the floor to weld in. I did the install before removing and replacing the floor pans. Did the same install on my 1966 Belvedere wagon and cut slots for the parking brake cable to pass through.
