It can be done either way..  I fill the master cylinder then open all bleeders and let nature take it course.  Shut them down when they start leaking out the bleeder valve.  Then Bleed the whole system ./  Adjust the brakes up as much as possible.  This help prevent getting air into the system.  Makes the job easier. If you have a vacumn pump that works too.

Question1) brake lines are all empty. Somebody told me u could rough
fill a system by just cracking all four bleeders and start to fill the
 master cylinder, and gravity will just somewhat fill the lines, no
need for pumping till final bleed. True or not?
Question 2) And what of adjusting the rears with the starwheel
adjusters? Should I do this before or after I fill the lines?
